The Meme Machine, made in collaboration with Rooster Teeth, has been invited as an Official Selection of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in March 2020. The film traces the early history of the first ‘accidentally famous’ personalities on the internet, and charts the rise of meme culture resulting in the place we find ourselves now. Featuring interviews with Linguists, Scientists and behavior psychologists - as well as some of the human memes themselves, “The Meme Machine” reveals how memes have taken over modern culture.
